IS is already so overwhelming, that learning all of its features is time consuming enough! with over 5000 items, we seriously need a tool to import matrixed items. Ideally, you could also export the database, make bulk changes (like increasing costs), and then reupload the sheet. If you take a look at DataPort for Monster Commerce, it accomplishes this very well, so do Yahoo web stores.
I tried doing it myself by going into System Manager >> Data Dictionary and making certain tables importable, but it didn't work out right. I noticed that a request for this was made a long time ago and this still hasn't been addressed. I paid all this money for IS, the POS, & a server, a simple initial necisity like this continues to be overlooked. The labor cost of importing that many items is very high, as this is a very time consuming task. We are already so busy in our company, I don't know when or how to make time for this task so now we're sitting on all this equipment and money, and I can't find the time to put someone on this simple, but neccesary task.
PLEASE HELP WITH THIS ASAP!
