This plugin was written for a client to handle tracking their software keys for each customer and integrating with their activation website. While it is written to a very tight specification, it could be modified to fit anyone's software license tracking needs.
A unique method was employed in this development that logs changes made to the license records so a manager can see who made what changes to the license record and when. The before and after values of all fields are displayed with the changes showing in bold.
We used SQL replication to push the license records to their activation server and receive notifications when their customers activated their software to keep their records inside Interprise Suite accurate and up-to-date.
